AIM Photonics is pleased to announce that Ms. Tracy Frost, SES, Director, Technology Innovation for the Industrial Base (TIIB), Office of the Undersecretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW (R&E)); Dr. Eric K. Lin, Acting Associate Director for Innovation and Industry Services for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); and Dr. Anna Tauke-Pedretti, Microsystems Technology Program Manager at DARPA, will serve as plenary speakers for the 2026 AIM Photonics Members Meeting in Washington, D.C.
Bringing together leaders from government, academia, and the defense industrial base, this year’s program will feature three separate plenary sessions highlighting the importance of integrated photonics and its growing impact across critical technology sectors.
With themes centered on AI-enabled photonics, quantum technologies, advanced packaging, heterogeneous integration, next-generation microelectronics, secure communications, resilient domestic manufacturing, breakthrough health and biosensing applications, this year’s program will span two dynamic days of thought leadership and innovation. Sessions will examine the convergence of photonics with artificial intelligence, emerging quantum systems, trusted supply chains, education workforce development, and national-scale initiatives designed to strengthen U.S. technology leadership and industrial competitiveness.
