ARMI | BioFabUSA recently shared progress on three of the current Education and Workforce Development (EWD) Quickstart Projects that are assisting in the development of new workforce and talent pipelines. These updates cover US educational institutions: University of Minnesota, University of New Hampshire and Rutgers University.

The Quickstart programs range in focus from exposure of K-12 to 3D printing, the development of curricula, to a pathway for veterans and students of all ages to join this growing industry. ARMI | BioFabUSA EWD projects include:

  1. University of Minnesota (UMN) is currently working on a project which focuses on the development of an educational program that will train workers on the use of 3D bioprinting.
  2. University of New Hampshire at Manchester (UNHM) has developed an online prototype of a credit-bearing course titled, “The Business of Biotechnology.”
  3. The New Jersey Center for Biomaterials (NJCBM) at Rutgers University is analyzing data to inform a skills gap analysis report based on the survey data collected over the past several months, which in turn will support ARMI’s efforts to develop a national EWD roadmap.
