Join AFFOA for a webinar on the DOW Design for Manufacturability and Business Case Analysis project, supporting the DOW Joint Clothing and Textile Modernization Initiative (JCTMI). This project focuses on identifying practical pathways to increase commonality across military combat clothing and reduce unnecessary manufacturing complexity.
The webinar will cover the project motivation, scope, and roadmap; the types of process, material, and design commonality being evaluated; and specific commonality recommendations that AFFOA has developed for target garments, including Army Combat Uniforms (ACU), Improved Hot Weather Combat Uniform (IHWCU), Advanced Combat Pant (ACP), Marine Corps Tropical Combat Uniform (MCTCU), and Navy Working Uniform Type III (NWU III). AFFOA will also discuss collaboration pathways tied to the project, including upcoming contract opportunities for defense cut & sew manufacturers to support prototyping, down-selected recommendations, manufacturability validation, and cost-savings assessment.
