National Program Office

Hosted by the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office (AMNPO) coordinates the Manufacturing USA network in partnership with the other two institute-sponsoring agencies, the Departments of Defense and Energy and other participating agencies. AMNPO is charged with enabling more effective collaboration in identifying and addressing challenges and opportunities that span technology areas and cut cross agency missions. In addition, the office shares information with the public and links federal efforts to the growing number of private-sector partnerships between manufacturers, universities, state and local governments, and other organizations.
