The American Institute for Manufacturing Integrated Photonics (AIM Photonics) today announced that a number of the initiative’s leading researchers, scientists from a number of its corporate partners, and supporting staff will attend the SPIE Photonics West conference and exhibition, which is taking place January 27 through February 1 in San Francisco, California, to share updates and highlight opportunities for the event’s photonics-focused global audience.

At the SPIE Photonics West conference, AIM Photonics representatives will be meeting with interested potential partners, as well as others from the industry to provide details and updates on the opportunities that the initiative provides, including updates on the Test, Assembly, and Packaging facility, located in Rochester, New York, which is expected to be completed later this year. AIM Photonics has seen strong interest in membership, with more than 80 signed members and additional interested collaborators from across the United States, including those representing areas ranging from industry and academia to government.
