EPRI, a member of America Makes, has received Best Paper recognition from the Manufacturing, Materials, and Metallurgy Committee for its paper, “Learnings in the Qualification of ABD®900AM for Turbine, Aerospace, and Energy Applications.” Presented at the 2025 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Turbo Expo in Memphis, TN, the paper highlights significant advancements in qualifying additive manufacturing (AM) for critical aerospace and defense applications. The award underscores EPRI’s role in advancing AM technologies and contributing to the development of more rigorous standards for mission-critical engineering.

ASME Turbo Expo is regarded as the leading international forum for turbomachinery, convening researchers, industry experts, and policymakers to discuss developments in gas turbines, wind energy, and power systems, while showcasing pathways toward net-zero goals. EPRI will receive the award during the Manufacturing, Materials & Metallurgy Committee Meeting at ASME Turbo Expo 2026, which will take place June 15-19 in Milan, Italy.
