CESMII, The Smart Manufacturing Institute, intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for institute roadmap projects. The total investment will be approximately $18,500,000 with 50% in CESMII funding and 50% awardee cost-share requirement.
Approximately $7.5M will be allocated toward enabling R&D and workforce development. The projected remaining amount is to be allocated towards the development of SM Platform capabilities and SM innovation projects. The notice of intent for RFP-2-2019 is for enabling R&D and workforce development projects only. Separate notices of intent will be issued for SM platform capability and SM innovation projects in July.
